Professional portraits are important for a lot of reasons. The two I hear most often are business and social media profiles, or just to capture special moments or memories. Great portraits are important for establishing your brand and trust with your potential customers.
Portraits, more than just smartphone camera snapshots, are an accurate representation of the way you look. (Cell phones use wide angle lenses that distort - you don’t really look like that!) The right photographer will also capture the way you feel, an image with combined emotion, composition and lighting. A professional portrait is a powerful way to tell your story, whether to the whole world or just to realize your own.
Campaigns range from catalogs and advertising to images used in stores. Use a creative professional photographer to shoot indoors or out, to tell your brand story and stand out from the crowd.
Working with friends or talented newcomers may save you money in the short term, but can end up costing a lot more when you realize the images don’t have the technical capacity or detail to represent you at the level you need. Poor quality photography can’t be fixed later - you’ll end up doing it all over again.
Editorial images are used in magazines, advertising and model portfolios. I’ve photographed editorial and lifestyle images for publications including CNN.com, Desert Living Magazine, Runway, Perfectify and more.
